Katie Parker is an associate professor and assistant director in the School of Art. In 2008, she co-founded Future Retrieval, an artist collective that re-examines and disrupts the history of decorative arts through the excavation and empirical study of digital archives and museum collections.
Datchuk is a multidisciplinary ceramic artist. Datchuk’s research investigates the influence of Western beauty standards on the East, the commodification of the non-white body, and women’s work as an economic driver. Datchuk’s research has been exhibited in highly prestigious venues, such as the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft; recognized with prestigious awards, including a United States Artists Fellowship; and acquired into public collections, including at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Sam Chung is a ceramic artist and educator who creates pottery that reframes historical ceramics from a contemporary, cross-cultural perspective. His work bridges the fields of art, craft and design. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally at Harvey Meadows Gallery (now Harvey Preston Gallery), Duane Reed Gallery, Gallery IMA, Ann Linnemann Gallery (Denmark), ClayAKAR, Greenwich House Pottery, Sherry Leedy Contemporary and Lacoste Gallery.
Beiner has taught ceramics at the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University since 2006. Her work has been described as "lush, intricate encrusted vessels and wall installations draw the viewer into another world where the line between nature and that which is man-made is blurred."
